Topics of interest include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mixed-timed circuits, GALS systems, networks-on-chips, multi-chip interconnects, and 3D integration;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elastic and latency-tolerant synchronous design;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Asynchrony in emerging technologies, such as bio, nano, and quantum computing;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CAD tools for asynchronous design, synthesis, analysis, and optimization;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Formal methods for verification and performance\/power analysis;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fault tolerance, resilient design, and radiation-hard design;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Test and design for manufacturing;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Asynchronous pipelines, architectures, CPUs, and memories;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Asynchronous logic in ultra-low power and power-constrained systems, energy harvesting, and mixed-signal\/analog design;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Asynchronous design for neural networks and machine learning applications; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Circuit designs, case studies, comparisons, and applications.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submissions must report original scientific work and be 6-8 pages in IEEE two-column conference format with author information concealed. Authors who feel that extra pages are absolutely required to achieve top quality for their article may contact the Program Chairs. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE digital library (IEEE Xplore) and the symposium proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">INVITED SESSION ON SECURITY:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Authors are invited to submit papers on the following topics regardless of whether the work is directly related to asynchronous circuits. Emphasis will be given to work that would benefit from or have impact on applications of asynchronous concepts and circuits. Topics include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Formal methods for security and system verification;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Special circuits for security applications; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Side-channel analysis and designs that mitigate side-channel attacks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submissions must report original scientific work and be 6-8 pages in IEEE two-column conference format with author information concealed. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE digital library (IEEE Xplore) and the symposium proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">INDUSTRIAL PAPERS:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ASYNC 2021 will include a special industrial workshop with papers from industry on the state-of-the-art application of asynchronous designs to both existing and emerging technologies. We solicit 1-2 page submissions, using IEEE two-column conference format. These papers will go through a separate lightweight review process. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE digital library (IEEE Xplore) and the symposium proceedings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FRESH IDEAS WORKSHOP:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ASYNC 2021 will accommodate a special workshop to present \u201cfresh ideas\u201d in asynchronous design that are not yet ready for publication, as well as \u201cemerging hot topics\u201d to describe emerging areas of interest for asynchronous design. We solicit 1-2 page submissions for the workshop, which will go through a separate lightweight review process.
